Skill Development
Since its inception, Infotech Orbit has been dedicated to skill development, a key aspect in bridging the gap between industry requirements and the demands of skilling.
Infotech Orbit actively engages in various e-Governance projects aimed at bolstering employment opportunities, particularly for individuals undergoing skill training. The primary focus lies on facilitating employment, whether through self-employment ventures or wage-based positions.
One significant endeavor is the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), tailored to empower rural youth aged 15 to 35 hailing from underprivileged backgrounds. This initiative, integral to the Skill India campaign, plays a crucial role in supporting the government’s social and economic agendas, such as Make In India, Digital India, Smart Cities, and Start-Up India, Stand-Up India campaigns.
It’s noteworthy that a substantial portion, around 180 million individuals, constituting 69% of India’s youth aged 18 to 34, reside in rural areas. Among them, approximately 55 million belong to the economically disadvantaged stratum, facing limited or no employment prospects.
